Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions we hear most often.
LedgerPilot.com is an interllegent accounting automation platform built on .NET 10 and Azure. It automates bookkeeping, extracts financial data from documents, classifies transactions, and generates reports — all designed for accounting firms and fractional CFOs.
LedgerPilot supports PDF, PNG, JPG, and TIFF formats. PDFs can be single- or multi-page. Searchable (machine-readable) PDFs produce the highest extraction accuracy. Maximum file size is 20 MB per document.
DI extraction uses Azure AI Document Intelligence to parse your uploaded documents and extract structured data: transaction dates, descriptions, amounts, running balances, and payee names. The extracted data is presented for your review before being posted to the ledger.
Credit consumption varies by document type and page count. A single-page bank statement typically consumes 1–3 credits. Multi-page documents consume credits proportionally. Check the Billing & Usage page for a full credit cost table.
Yes. The document upload dialog supports multi-file selection. All selected files are queued and processed in sequence. You can monitor progress in the Documents tab.
After extraction, LedgerPilot's AI engine maps each transaction to an account category based on payee name, transaction description, and historical patterns. You can review, override, and create Rules to automate future classifications for recurring payees.
LedgerPilot currently supports Trial Balance, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Client Statistics, and Sales Tax Reports. All reports are exportable to PDF. CSV export is available for further processing. See the Features page for the full list.
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256) on Azure infrastructure. Each client's data is logically isolated. LedgerPilot does not share your data with third parties. Refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
Yes. LedgerPilot supports multi-user organisations with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Roles include Organisation Admin, Accountant, and Viewer. Admins can invite team members from the Organisation Settings page.
You can configure Recurring Invoice Templates on each client profile. Set the billing cycle (monthly, quarterly, etc.), line items, and amounts. LedgerPilot automatically generates and queues invoices on the scheduled date for your review before sending.
Invoice payments are processed via Stripe. Supported payment methods include credit/debit cards and ACH bank transfers (US), subject to your Stripe account configuration.
When your credit balance reaches zero, new Intelligent operations (extraction, advanced classification) will be paused until you purchase additional credits. Ledger and invoice functions remain available for review and processing. Set up a low-balance alert under Billing Settings to avoid interruption.
Yes. Transaction data, reports, and invoices are exportable to PDF and CSV at any time from the respective pages. A full data export (all clients, all history) can be requested by contacting support.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Billing & Usage → Manage Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. During the Early Access Pilot, please contact support@ledgerpilot.com for any billing changes.
New features and improvements are documented in the Release Notes. You can also visit the Features page for a full, up-to-date overview of platform capabilities.
